Maureen debates telling the other survivors about the black hole while John discusses the robot with them. While Angela is enraged that it killed her husband, John argues that it is rebooted and obedient to Will. After adjourning the meeting, Smith, who claims to be a psychologist, offer to "counsel" Angela. The community allows the robot to stay but Will must report all its activities. John takes Will on a hike with the robot to discuss Will's responsibility for the robot's actions. He has Will fetch 27 large stones to build a memorial to the casualties.Don offers to sell Victor Dhar his wrecked craft's fuel. It crashed in the desert where there are none of the eel-like creatures which feed on fuel. The craft is precariously perched on a cliff, but the group successfully drain the fuel. Don risks entering Dr. Z. Smith's Jupiter 18 quarters to retrieve proof of the fake Smith's fraud. He retrieves one item before escaping just before the craft dives over the cliff. Don shows Judy a hospital badge with a photo of a man named Dr. Smith. Maureen learns that Hiroki also knows the planet is dying. Penny and Vijay go to a waterfall which has dried up since her earlier visit. She tells him about the black hole but swears him to secrecy. Penny read Vijay's poem, and they share a kiss. Back at camp, Smith "counsels" Angela about the robot's attack, making her recount the horrifying details. Smith channels Angela's raw anger to condition her. Later, Smith suggests that Will ask Maureen to join the others for their family night. Angela enters the hub with the gun she 'found' in the woods and shoots at the robot. The robot goes into attack mode but Will orders it to stop, but not before it injures John. Distraught, Will takes the robot to a cliff and orders it to walk off. He then places a stone on the memorial for the robot.
[Maureen] The way the ecosphere has been behaving,
Huh? Give us a "whoo-hoo" like it's a limo on prom night.
'Cause I'm a badass, princess.
[Angela] I have no quarrel with you, Mr. Robinson.
Why would they put a sunroof if we couldn't open it?
Oh, the eel. Yeah. Yeah, heard about them.
-Must be gas, trapped below the surface. -What, like a space fart?
So, who's got the shovel?
I once had vertigo, but then overcame it.
I have lived a life, I was not a creep.
In just three hours, we're gonna have a tank full of liquid methane
Well, I'm going swimming at the waterfall.
those slippery bastard need moisture to survive.
We tried to skirt the perimeter to our Jupiter.
Huh? Give us a "whoo-hoo" like it's a limo on prom night.
Being the keeper of all those secrets.
With the torque in the engines, we counteract the shift in the weight.
A monument to all those who lost their lives
[Smith] Words are a gateway to your emotion.
A coffee mug?
a typical orbit looks like this.
For what it's worth, after trauma like you've endured,
Talk to Peter Beckert. He handles my affair.
My husband was the seventh musician chosen for relocation.
On Triton, it's nitrogen. Heat from the sun--
the smell.
I knew you were a fighter when we found you.
Information does not exist in isolation.
sicken me.
For what it's worth, after trauma like you've endure,
On Mars, they spit CO2.
I was the one who insist that... [sighs]
It dried up. It's been getting hotter, maybe the glacier melt.
Somebody who saves lives or somebody who gamble with them?
Okay. Think of it like a computer that's been reboot or reprogrammed.
[Penny] I'm sorry I kinda freak out back there.
He sacrifice for all of us.
don't you think we deserve a little escape?
If you're wondering if rotting meat smell the same here as it does on Earth,
We dig down, attach the towlines to the Jupiter.
Tell me about the moment where you first encounter the machine.
-Must be gas, trap below the surface. -What, like a space fart?
I once had vertigo, but then overcame it.
And frankly, I was tired of getting yelled at and blame.
think we better all pray.
-[man] Whoa, whoa, whoa. -You're not suppose to open that.
It had burn into mine.
[stutters] No, I appreciate it,
I just realize.
and that thing murder him in front of me.
My crew and I, we crash in the desert.
-Promise me. -Okay, I promise.
You teach him to do that?
The weight shift to the west side, sending it over the edge.
Whatever you decide, I'll support you.
[stammers] I lost a very dear friend in the crash.
We're out of fuel, can't reach the Resolute, audibly or visibly.
Brought my music to space and traveled afar."
But one thing's for damn sure.
Besides, I told my dad I'd do this, so...
-We could go somewhere else-- -No, I had it all planned.
You okay in there?
You need to rest. You haven't given yourself time to properly heal.
I'm truly sorry about what happened to your husband.
Sorry. What are we doing exactly?
[Angela] It's Angela. We spoke earlier.
I just wanted to say, you're not alone.
Yes, finally. Loosening up.
[cries] Step forward.
The life cycle on this planet is quite remarkable.
I'm sorry. I should have said something. Especially to you, and I...
I almost forgot. Everyone knows about the robot,
Why don't we go talk outside?
Actually, I had something else in mind.
It's all gonna work out fine.
Maybe you should go back inside.
I think we've gone far enough for this session.
I'll tell you later. It's kind of a father-son thing.
There is something, though, that I need to share with you.
[Vijay] How far are we going exactly?
Actually, I had something else in mind.
Have you ever spoken to a therapist before?
Let someone else save the day for once.
Always sticking their noses in--
Till the planet becomes uninhabitable?
And that box has to be airtight, so nothing gets out.
[chuckling] You're a badass princess.
Then you, my nerdy friend, have a lot of catching up to do.
Auxiliary fuel tanks, untouched, just sitting there,
It would have been irresponsible. Cause panic.
The gravitational pull is altering the orbit,
It's pretty embarrassing.
[stutters] He detached it on his own.
[sniffles] His body went rigid.
I am so sorry that I have excellent peripheral vision.
The life cycle on this planet is quite remarkable.
No offense? How is that not offensive?
Yeah, some. It's an unusual time.
And we would be wet and laughing at how stupid it was,
-This one-- -It's okay.
that the only reason my daughter is alive today
what this thing is capable of.
Protection. In case you didn't notice, it's getting dangerous around here.
"I am Vijay Dhar, aged 16 years.
[stammers] I lost a very dear friend in the crash.
In just three hours, we're gonna have a tank full of liquid methane
-We could go somewhere else-- -No, I had it all planned.
And we would be wet and laughing at how stupid it was,
[panting] This is amazing.
Whoa. Slow, slow, slow. Back up slow.
That's a negative, Captain. We're just plotting our course.
waiting for a smart community leader to claim them.
